How do you keep showing up for yourself when things are challenging?

How do you keep showing up for yourself when things are challenging?

Do you take the action even if you think that it’s not going to work? Do you keep putting the effort in for yourself and no one else?  Do you keep going or do you stop because you don’t feel like it?  Showing up for yourself is challenging, especially in challenging times when your mind just doesn’t feel like doing what you need to do.

Here are 4 things that you can do to keep showing up for yourself:

  1. Invest in your daily habits.  What are you doing to set yourself up for success?  What do your daily habits/patterns show you?  Are you taking the daily actions that you need to keep moving forward?

  2. Be aware of your self-talk.  What are the things that you’re saying to yourself every day?  Are they serving you for your highest good or are they sabotaging you?

  3. What are you doing for self-care?  Even if it’s a couple of minutes reading, journaling and meditating, remember that a little does go a long way, so congratulate yourself for taking the tiny steps to move you toward your dreams.

  4. Do you try anyways even though you may not get the result that you’re looking for?    Do you look for solutions or creative opportunities or different perspectives?

  5. Are you there for yourself when times are challenging?  The behind-the-scenes work on yourself is likely scenes that no one will see except yourself.  How do you show up for yourself when no one is watching?
