Doing it all

For those who can't see the behind the scenes efforts, women do so much to 'keep it all together.' So many cannot see all the mental, emotional, and physical load to get the job done. Rarely, you see the late nights with having to balance it all and just see the 'smile' that women have to put on even though they are massively challenged with socio-economic pressures with systems that they cannot change.

Women carry so much pressure that one cannot always see. They often cannot talk about all the struggles and challenges for the fear of 'looking bad' and not being able to do their job. The truth is that they do so much that is often not acknowledged or paid for in modern society. Those who speak up are afraid of the consequences, so often they carry the inner burden of just 'doing it all.'

There was a statistic that I read a few weeks ago that mentioned that women can't retire because they give up so many of their working years as caregivers, tending to their own families or their parents or in-laws. Why is the work that they do not acknowledged?

Something to consider...
