Radical Acceptance

Radical acceptance is a work in progress for so many of us.

Surrendering to reality in a way that you’re not fighting it is something that takes a lot of practice. Acceptance doesn’t mean that you have to like whatever it is that you accept, though fighting against that reality can create more suffering.

if you’re used to being a fixer, for example, and you’ve become successful at being a fixer, it can become your identity. You may find yourself being the ‘fixer’ and ‘firefighter’ and the go-to person to solve problems. It’s beneficial in a lot of ways, as you have built up a skill set that is vastly important, especially in changing market conditions. You may also find that it is exhausting at the same time.

Protecting yourself and your energy is key. Getting more frustrated with the things that you cannot change just gets you more worked up. Take that focus and remember to focus on yourself. #reminders
