5 ideas to keep you moving toward your goals

5 ideas to keep you moving towards your goals

Here are some ideas to keep you motivated at work.

➡️ You can take more time. This is a big one as we’re just so used to rushing because we may feel ‘pressured’ by others to do it faster or we may internally feel like we’re ‘not there yet.’ Do things at your own pace.

➡️ Clarify and manage expectations. What you think someone is supposed to do for you may not be the case.

➡️ Aligned expectations. Have you clarified to understand whether your timing expectations have been agreed upon? Or whether what you want to be delivered is actually what was agreed upon?

➡️ Clear communication. Is there alignment and if not, what can you do to better communicate better?

➡️ Say no. You can say no, and you can say it again and again without feeling any feelings of not being enough, inadequacy, or <fill in the blank>.

In challenging times, planning ahead and setting the time/intention to create more space is so important to set yourself up for success. It may seem challenging to block off time when there are so many competing demands.

Check in to see if you have space to do what you need to do. Create space in your physical environment (ie. what does your office space look like?) and in your mental and emotional environment (ie. do you have time blocked for creative brainstorming and planning? are you grounding?). If you don’t have space and/or capacity, what are some things that you can do for yourself?

What are you doing to set yourself up for greater success?
